Born to be Jovi
Nathan as Jon Bon Jovi

Nathan began his musical career around 17 years ago and enjoyed some commercial success in the nineties with one project. However, after winning many karaoke competitions as Jon Bon Jovi, he decided to form the tribute band Born To Be Jovi. From it’s very first public performance, agency contracts were on the table, and sevens years on, Born To Be Jovi is the powerhouse Bon Jovi Tribute Band that Nathan had first conceived!

Steve as Richie Sambora

Steve was first on board Nathan’s new Bon Jovi Tribute Band project. During his 25 year musical career, Steve has played lead guitar in a number of heavy-rock cover bands and in the early nineties, he also completed a diploma in Music Performance at the Guitar Institute London. From the very earliest Born To Be Jovi rehearsals, with the genuine “Livin’ on a Prayer Talk-Box” and Richie Sambora signature guitar to hand, there has been no looking back for Steve!

Marcus as David Bryan

Marcus is a consummate keyboardist and uses the exact keyboard models & sounds that David Bryan chooses to use himself. Marcus also possesses perfect pitch and a superb singing voice and so he is also the primary backing vocalist for his brother, Nathan, in Born To Be Jovi. Marcus’ musical career spans 15 years and as a huge Bon Jovi fan himself it was not difficult to persuade him to take up rehearsals seven years ago and help launch his brother’s project!

Max as Hugh McDonald

Max is an Italian bass player and came over to the UK to study at The Guitar & Bass Institute London in 1998. He promptly won the Institute’s Bass Player of The Year Award! Also a huge Bon Jovi fan, he wasted no time after first rehearsals in signing up to take his place as Hugh McDonald in Born To Be Jovi. Max favours a five string bass to ensure that “It’s My Life” always fires off with the deepest of rumbles!

Tom as Tico Torres

Tom is a very experienced rock-drummer who has been playing drums for more than 15 years in various bands and musical groups. Tom is also, a classically-trained orchestral percussionist, a past scholar of The Brighton Institute of Modern Music, and he manages to find the time to teach drums and percussion when not performing on stage himself. As well as travelling the UK and Europe with Born To Be Jovi, Tom’s previous career in session work took him on a full tour of the USA east coast. Tom uses a superb Pearl drum-kit just as Tico Torres has always used in Bon Jovi!

Mark – Sound Engineer

Working hard in the background, is Mark who is the band’s fully trained sound and lighting engineer. During the mid to late nineties Mark sound engineered for a number of bands before the call came from his good friend Marcus, to invite him to come and join Born To be Jovi in 2003. Mark’s ability to set up the band’s PA and lighting equipment in minutes rather than hours is legendary!
